Explore workloads →SolarCompute / Community
A distributed computing network is more than machines and software. It brings together people who use computing, host infrastructure, contribute ideas and help shape what comes next.
A community with purpose
SolarCompute connects computing resources with people who need them. Developers, researchers, students, technology enthusiasts, machine hosts and renewable-energy participants can each have a role in its development.
The network is operational, with supported workloads and applications undergoing continued testing and refinement. Broader community programmes and participation opportunities will develop as the platform grows.
Ways to participate
Explore supported AI and computing services, test workflows and help improve the user experience.
Explore workloads →Learn how compatible machines and participating locations can contribute compute capacity to the network.
Explore hosting →Explore opportunities to support the infrastructure behind distributed computing.
Hardware participation →Support responsible experimentation, technical feedback and future research opportunities.
Research programme →What matters to us
People should be able to ask questions, share ideas and offer feedback in a respectful environment.
We distinguish what is operating today from what remains in development, testing or planning.
Security, privacy, energy use and reliable infrastructure are part of building a network that can grow sustainably.
From pilot to participation
SolarCompute has an operating distributed-compute foundation, including machines at a residential solar-powered site. Supported workloads are being tested and refined as the platform develops.
Expanding the community means improving the experience for users and hosts, evaluating compatible hardware and building participation pathways responsibly. Opportunities may vary by workload, machine capability and programme readiness.
